ERJA LYYTINEN - 20 YEARS OF BLUES ROCK

The internationally popular Finnish blues queen Erja Lyytinen will celebrate her 20-year career as an artist in autumn 2023 with a tour. The guitarist who has shared stages with legends has received recognition in the form of awards and chart positions. In the tour we will hear the best gems from Lyytinen's long and successful career.

Lyytinen released her first studio album "Wildflower" in 2003, after which she has released eight studio albums and four live albums. Lyytinen released her latest studio album "Waiting For The Daylight" in October 2022. Lyytinen's musical palette is wide, combining modern and old blues with progressive tones in her music. "Waiting For The Daylight" is clearly a heavier and more progressive album with classic blues rock tones. than Lyytinen's previous production.

The guitarist, who gigs a lot, has for example performed with Carlos Santana, Jennifer Batten and Joe Bonamassa, and warmed up stages for Robert Plant and Tom Jones among others.

During her career so far, Lyytinen has been awarded numerous awards, such as second place in Guitar World magazine's Best Guitarist vote in 2020 and the European Blues Awards' Best Guitarist award in 2017. In 2023, Lyytinen was the first Finnish nominee at the prestigious Maple Blues Awards in Canada. The guitar solo from the first single of Lyytinen's latest studio album "Bad Seed" was voted number 10 in the Guitar World reader poll for the best guitar solos of 2022.
