Erja Lyytinen AWARDED “SAVONMUAN HILIMA”

Erja has been bestowed the “Savonmuan Hilima” award by the Savon Sanomat newspaper. She was congratulated on the front page of the publication on the 21st of November. The award is given each year to an individual woman for their achievements in their respective field and is chosen by the male journalists at Savon Sanomat. The previous winners have included notable designers, artists, researchers, classical singers and so on coming from the Savolax area in the Eastern part of Finland. The award carries a long tradition, but Erja is the first person to represent the popular music genre. This is the 49th time the award has been given. And along with the award came a beautiful trophy designed by a local designer/artist Ritva-Liisa Pohjalainen. The trophy is called “The Balance” and is made from black and white glass. Erja is thankful for this recognition and is grateful to be chosen as one of this long line of amazing award-winning women.
