Erja Lyytinen's guitar solo from the song Bad Seed has been voted among the ten best guitar solos of 2022 in the Guitar World magazine's reader poll. Lyytinen's performance came in tenth place in the voting.

”This is the aggressive expansion of blues-rock’s melodic perimeter fence, as though Lyytinen is following in Gary Moore’s footsteps, chasing down big moonlit minor key melodies with her lead playing, digging into her two years getting musically booksmart at the conservatory, intonation on point, for a solo that effectively tells the story of the song without words.” it says in the article.

Lyytinen is in good company, as several internationally famous bands and players were voted to the top, such as Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante with the song Eddie, Slash with the song Fill My World, Steve Vai with the song Teeth of the Hydra, and Nita Strauss with the song The Wolf You Feed.

The song Ego Death by the American prog band Polyphia was voted number one in the contest, where the solo is played by Steve Vai as a guest in the band. Second place in the voting went to Sophie Lloyd with the song Do Or Die.

There were 50 candidates in the contest total.
